Well, as I sit here trying to eat up the last of my 4 1/2 hours between classes at Union (sigh...), I thought I would write a little note. As some of you may know I have very recently changed jobs! I am currently working two days a week at Savannah Christian Academy teaching elementary Spanish in grades kindergarten through 8. (Whoa! I know...what were they thinking letting me do this?! ;) ) I've really enjoyed it so far and it will be great experience for the future. I've already had some funny moments with the students - like the kindergarten student who told me I cheated at "I Spy"...you can't pull one over on a 5-year-old! Ha!
As I mentioned, I'm taking classes at Union working towards a Masters of Arts in Education degree as well as licensure in Teaching English as a Second Language and Elementary Ed (K-6). So, I spend two days a week wandering around Jackson in between classes. Ha! As Jamie will testify, my main challenge is not purchasing things as I wander! The sooner Nekayeh, David and Norah Kate get to Jackson the better!!! (You too Chula.)
Jamie is currently busy starting up his fall hunting season...anyone like to eat dove??? And working and golfing as time allows. LOL...

A Nashville Kind of Birthday...
Well, Jamie had to come to Nashville this week because he is taking one of his classes for his Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation. And, since today is his 26th birthday, I tagged along so he wouldn't be by himself on his birthday. He has to study in (pretty much) all of his free time for his test on Saturday, but I did try to make him slow down long enough to have some birthday celebration today. Here are the many faces of Jamie while opening some of his gifts we brought with us...
This was actually a "towel sculpture" on the bed when we checked in...who knew Holiday Inn did that?!?
Birthday Central :)
HAPPY 26TH BIRTHDAY JAMIE! I HOPE YOU HAD A GOOD DAY!!!
Vacation #2 and The Anniversary
Here are just a couple of pictures from the "Pennington" vacation. For some reason, I didn't have very many...
We had a great view of this pelican (putting on a show for us) from our table at Dewey Destin's.
Dad and me waiting for our food...
Since our anniversary fell on a Wednesday this year and Jamie had to work...and by work, I mean play in a golf tournament FOR work :) ... we went to the movies to see The Proposal and went to eat the following weekend. BUT, Jamie did send me flowers at work. Yay!

Floors...beautiful floors!!!
While I was gone on my SECOND beach vacation of the summer, Jamie was busy laying the beautiful new flooring in our living room (if I do say so myself!). Thank you Jamie!!! You did a great job!
New furniture coming soon!!! (we hope...)

Jamie "The Toolman" Williams
As some of you may know, we are replacing the flooring throughout the majority of our house. It all started when we figured out part of our subfloor was basically rotting due to the French doors not being installed correctly and several years of having no gutters on our house for protection. So, simple, we get the subfloor fixed, right? But then we figured out the doors had mold in them and we needed new doors. And THEN I decided I didn't want to put our nasty carpet back down on the new subfloor. And so on and so on until Jamie decided we should replace the carpet in our living room/foyer with hard wood laminate...and he's laying it himself. :) This seemed like and o.k. idea to begin with...but after a week of the following, I'm getting a little concerned.
This is what our living room looked like on Monday when I got home from work...what you can't tell is that he had already pulled up half of the carpet and just laid it back down.
The rest are as the week progressed...he's pulling staples out of the floor.
Luckily we haven't had any "toolman" sized accidents or injuries. Just some minor bleeding. Ha! Jamie is finishing up the last of the extra layer of plywood (which we have to put down to even out the level of the floor from the foyer to the living room). So I guess tomorrow we will start installing the actual planks...Wahoo! (Whose idea was this again???) Hopefully soon you will be seeing pictures of our FINISHED floor! Yay!
